So here's what I've been up to

Happy tax day!  When I saw what would be going down around here this past weekend

I decided to get out of town.  And that's just what I did.

There was lots of shopping, and I found some exceptional pieces for my booth and for The Dollhouse!  So many great pieces that they deserve - and will have -a post all their own.

There was some restyling of Mom's secretary to accommodate her growing collection of blue & white porcelain.

New lighting got installed

for this nursery project.

There was some rug obsessing  and a final selection
for this dining room project

all topped off by this situation at Wal-mart.  (about 60 people ready to check out and 3 lanes open.)

Now fill me in on what you've been up to!  Taxes done? Extensions filed?  Good shopping finds?

Damn, that's a good weekend. Where is the newly-installed light fixture from?

I want that rug! I guess I did just buy a coffee table a half an hour ago so I'll be OK. ;)
We (my husband) do our taxes on the first day you can legally file. I did have to file state sales tax today and I cry every time.

kim,
Love the nursery design board. I have had that Spoonflower fabric in my file forever! Just have not had the right room to use it in. I love what you paired it with. Also, the chandy is divine. I can just see a baby lying in bed staring up at the shapes is makes on the ceiling. It will also look amazing in a big kid room. Fab job, friend! M.

Welcome to Walmart!
You have been one busy lady! You didn't take a vacation, you just left the office, lol.
Great finds and can't wait to see.

Your mom's collection looks fantastic - you reminded me how much I love that fox fabric - and that wallpaper is fantastic! If you don't mind I'd love to know who makes it. Your day looks much more fun than taxes - well except that Wal-Mart line. I've been in that place before, and it feels like you might spend eternity in that line. Meijer can be horrible too!
