Project Dollhouse Family Room Fabric

Sunday, February 19, 2012

When I discovered Olioboard last year this is the first board I made.  You can read the whole post here.

I'm most inspired by color and I've always loved yellow and green together.  That love was further solidified when I saw this bedroom over at The Painted House Blog.

and these beauties

So, I was very happy to find this fabric.

It's called Lemon Tree (seems appropriate) and its by the Greef division of Schumacher.   I found it at a little fabric store near my Mom's house in Atlanta.  Of course I love the color palette and the pattern has a bold, retro feel to it, which I love too!

Now I just have to decide where to use it.  Maybe the Billy Baldwin slipper chairs? Or pillows?  Or as a tablecloth on big round library table?

Lots more to come on this, and your companion fabric suggestions are welcome!

Oh that would look great on anything, but I would love to see it on a table in the library. Can't believe it has been year since you ran that. The older I get, the faster time flies!
Have a nice week, Kim.

The yellow and green is very pretty and feels very spring-like!

I definitely could see those as slipper chairs against a bright buttery-gold wall!

Can't wait to see it come together!

LOVE it! Of course, it's Schumacher, how can one not?
This will narrow down your choices for the sofa now, right? *winks* Three cheers for Atlanta fabric stores!

By the way, do you recall the artist/source for the horse painting on Olioboard? It or one like it is perfect for another project I have going.

The fabric is really special. Would you go with green or yellow for a wall color or use them as accent colors only?

So beautiful and such a classic pattern and color combination. I'd shake things up a little and pair it with a crazy graphic...but that's just me :)

Oh, I love yellow and green together. I actually had a terry-cloth outfit as a child that was green on the front, yellow on the back and I still have very fond memories of it even though I probably looked like a giant Sprite can. Love that fabric. I would pair it with a black and white geometric like Betwixt. Your olioboard is fabulous (as is Angela's guest room)!

Love that fabric and the room design on your board. I'm a green person too....the brighter the better.

I also have been doing design boards on Olioboard and enjoying it. The updates that they've made have been a huge timesaver. I'm also a color person and really drawn to bold colors. So I really love that fabric remnant that you picked up.

I recently did a green post, too! I am loving green as well and hoping to use it more in our new house that we are in the process of buying... but it can be tricky to work with especially if you keep most of your main pieces neutral. Loving the green and yellow.
