Wanna see?
I have to admit that after living with the charcoal color we originally painted, the brighter color was a bit of shock. (By the way, the color we ultimately landed on was Benjamin Moore's Habanero Pepper, and its beautiful!) Now that I've been living with the new color for a little over a week, I just LOVE it! So much that I find myself going to the mailbox a few extra times a day just so I can bask in that coral glow on the walk back from the mailbox! I've also rerouted all of my trips home so I can drive past the door before pulling in the driveway. Tell me I'm not the only one who does this.
Here's a wider shot. It's hard to get a decent photo because of the sunny day and the shadows on the front of the house.
Wider still...
This is the original brass-tastic 1972 hardware. Hubby wanted to put it in the trash pile but I intervened, as I will do from time to time. It's my personal homage to the decade that gave us bell bottoms, platform shoes and disco. A fitting tribute.
Please avert your eyes from the other languishing items on the To-Do list and celebrate what is To-Done!
Thanks for encouraging me to follow my coral door dream! I'm so glad I took the plunge.

I AM SO JEALOUS! We have a 70's ranch and the previous owners put in a "new" door that I hate. Your door color and hardware look AH-MAZING!
So fun! Really brings out the character of the doors!
I think it looks G-R-O-O-V-Y!
AHHH it looks so good, the doors just steal the show now. I'm glad you convinced the hubs to go coral, and to keep those knobs! They're rad.

Ooh la la! I love this look! And your doors are so unique - very nice!
I love painted doors....They look perfect!
Dayka - they do look more red in these photos - probably due to some overly enthusiastic Picasa editing! In personal they're lighter and more orange. Coral!

Yummy color! Love it!
You go girl! Love it. Such a fabulous choice . . . but I'd expect nothing less from Ms. Chattafabulous herself!
That is a FABULOUS door! And I agree ... the hardware is classic!
I like your "to-do" to-DONE!
Bravo! Well done. Had no idea the door was so interesting; the details truly did not show up when it was black. So impressed. Waiting for my new door to be installed so I can go coral too!
I have to say that I absolutely love it! Love love the door. Coral is one of my favorite colors... great idea!

Wow! Just...wow!
I love the original hardware- it's totally one of those things that people will notice and love! And no, you are not the only one to do things like drive by your own front door...I will walk weird routes around my house just to see a mirror or something I love :)

Serious true love.
Really front door is the main part of our home and I am too much impressed from this blog because this blog is really too much informative for us and I really like this. Front doors

I knew you'd do it eventually! Coral all the way, baby!
Wow! That door is so beautiful. The color is very vibrant, and it gives a unique atmosphere to the entryway. It really stands out, and I think that’s one of the most beautiful spots in the exterior of the house. You picked the perfect color. I love it! I’d definitely take many glances to that door. Great choice, Kim!
