This is week five, isn't it? If you're visiting me for the first time, you can catch up on previous One Room Challenge posts here.
First, I have to apologize for getting my post up a little late. At around 9:30 last night I was moved to start assembling my art wall, so I had to wait until the sun came up this morning to take some photos of it. I'm not going to be giving a tutorial on how I did it because there aren't many directions to follow. If you recall, I have an empty room directly behind this wall and it was the right size to create the arrangement I wanted to put up on the wall.
I did measure the overall length and width of the arrangement to make sure it would all fit on the wall, and then I just started hanging. I referred to the pictures I took of this arrangement and eyeballed it to make sure I was still on track. That's kind of the beauty of this type of installation, it's a more collected and added to look, so measuring was optional.
I started with the picture that would cover the big hole in my wall, since covering it up was crucial.
And now, an Instagram Tour.
In the light of day, it needs some tweaking, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out. And it's always hard to the true impact of a project like this with less than stellar photography, but I will say the room feels completely different now.
And speaking of art, I found got a frame yesterday for this little number I got in the mail from my super talented cyber buddy and artiste extraordinaire Kerry Steele.
It's waaaay more gorgeous than this iphone picture can capture. It's not on my gallery wall, because it's getting placed somewhere special all by itself- but you can't see that yet!
Make sure you visit the other fab participants and see how they're coming along.

What a gorgeous gallery...adds so much warmth and interest.
Looks great! I especially love the equestrian prints thrown in there!
I always love a good gallery wall. It looks great! :)
Wow! Looks so great! The mirrors add so much light!
Can't wait to see where the Kerry Steele piece goes - beautiful!
I love your gallery wall! Thanks for the extra special mention and place of honor for the painting.
I love well done gallery walls, and this one tops the list. You had a huge space to cover and alot of varying sizes and frames, so it looks perfect! Wonderful eye!

You nailed it :) the perfect collected look! Kerry's art is beautiful!
I agree it looks great, and I always obsess over it but I always feel better about it each time I walk into the room and see it. And after the 4th or 5th time I love it. I'm sure you know what I mean. Great job burning the midnight oil!
Looking so far! Those gallery walls intimidate me. I've been putting mine off for too long now.
I love the line of three ovals--such a perfect way to break up all the hard edges!
It's looking so good. Kerry's work is so good. Did you know that if you tap on your iPhone screen just before you shoot a picture, it will auto adjust for an extra crisp clean image? I just found that one out, myself.
Look at you go! Love your wall and Kerry's print!
Love your gallery wall...and I know it was hard to hang on wood! You really need drywall for those kind of installs:)
kim, seeing this come together is so much fun! donna
Kim, I love the three mirrors in a row! Looking good ... okay, I got a KS painting too ... can't wait to see how we both REVEAL!! xo
That is one big wall, but your fabulous gallery makes it the perfect backdrop for the room. Job well done Kim!

The ORC must have been a fun project! It sometimes takes a little pressure for me to make things happen. I love your new sofa! He will be a friend for many years to come!
