Here We Go Again - The Buffalo Check Edition

Tuesday, December 20, 2011

There are classic elements in design that cycle back in from time to time and lately I've been noticing the resurgence of the Buffalo Checks!  Buffalo check, which is just a larger scale gingham pattern, feels fresh and modern again.

What do you think of the Buffalo checks/Tangerine binding combo?

I am in love with the image above!  Those rich green walls, black & white buffalo check curtains and accents of lemon yellow!  This image is the inspiration for the family room over at Project Dollhouse (more on that in a future post!)

I love it! It has never gone out of style as far as I am concerned.

the last photo with the black and white ging. curtains feels the most like a look I could go for...but part of me secretly wants a blue and white ging. room...old school style!

I do love buffalo checks! Such an updated but still somewhat traditional look. And Angela's guest room (that last shot) really had me going! Black and white buffalo check against emerald green walls. What could be better??

Love it. Any pattern in a large scale looks up to date and more modern. Glad to see it's resurgence.

When I was in the 5th grade I had a buffalo check shirt that I LOVED. Wouldn't mind a little in my house now :)
