1. Sheraton sideboard. The Sheraton style is elegant, super traditional and very classic, but with it's clean lines and smart styling it manages to feel modern at the same time!

2. Tuxedo sofa. Love it for the same reasons as the Sheraton sideboard - clean, classic lines that feel modern.
Wasn't this one of the rooms from Design Star a few seasons ago?
This tuxedo sofa got reupholstered in dove gray velvet in this living room makeover by Birds of a Feather. I follow their blog - they have great makeovers!!
3. French Bergere chairs. This needs no explanation. A timeless choice that will always work!
4. Demilune tables. Beautiful and versatile. Use two back to back to make a round table or use as console tables.
5. Parsons Table - Use it as a console table, dining table or writing desk. Clean-lined, simple beauty!
Your turn! What would be on your list?

Agree, Kim.

I love any type of chair, sofa or headboard with nailheads. I just have a thing for nailheads I guess.
I do see a light which is good because I am about to pass out from a lack of sleep! Thanks so much for asking!
Love the new look of the blog!
Have you looked at the new TradHome? There is apiece in there with Jonathan Adler and Charlotte Moss...their number one traditional item? The Bergere Chair :)
It's too early to be witty and inspirational! I will add that I would put mirrors on that list. Whether it's frameless, gold & ornate, or vintage- I will find a place for them. They always bring a little sparkle to a space :)
That sideboard is gorgeous.
I agree completely with your list!! And love your new look! Take care, Caroline
Love them all especially with you on a bergere chair and a demilune...I don't care how small my house could be..I could live in a teepee...those are two items I would HAVE to have!!
great images, i love the side board in the first one. thanks for stopping by my blog & for taking the time to comment
Excellent selections! One other item that would be on my list would be the barcelona chair - a classic!
P.S. I am glad you found my blog, so that I could find yours!
Kim, thanks for the mention! Great post, so glad to be a part of it!

So on the money, friend! Love all you mentioned, and when put with modern artwork, lamps and accessories, they are totally current and even a bit fun, I dare say! M.
Great selections...I beautiful Chinoiserie mirror in gold would be a nice addition!
I agree, the Parsons table and French Bergeres will never go out of style! Great collection of images!
how long do i have to think about it..there are so many pieces that do it for me.
I love the Sheraton side table and the Bergere chairs. Sigh!
Kim,
I'm with you, I don't think any of those things will go out of style!
Even though I'm not formal in my decorating, I do love that sideboard and think it could be used with a lot of different styles. I visited the Birds of a Feather blog and loved it! I am their newest follower.
Glad you liked the book, it was at Barnes and Noble for $60 but my Bf got it on Amazon for $25.

Have a peaceful weekend.

Great picks, Kim! And I LOVE your new look - very snazzy. I must say the Parson's table/desk is my fave lately. Just bought a Parson's console off Craigs for $20 and have plans for it and I've got a West Elm desk I still love.
Thanks for sharing these!
The bergere chair is definitely a favorite for me! And I also never tire of looking at four poster beds! I think they're timeless.
Oh, I love getting a little design education while getting my daily fix.
Gosh, I don't know what my list entails. I'm going to have to think on that...Oh! I just thought of one! A round table in a foyer. Does that count?
My upholstered headboard. I will love it forever. Until I don't, and then I will have it reupholstered :)
love the bergere chairs - so beautiful! For me one of the clasics has to be white porcelain dishes/accessory pieces for the kitchen. Always fresh and clean looking.
Anything bamboo. Love!
Love your new blog design - fabulous!
I agree with all of these. So hoping to find myself some thrift store bergere chairs someday!!
ps- love the new layout, Kim!
