Coveted Color Combo

Sunday, May 8, 2011

Maybe it's the warm temperatures we have in the forecast this week, but lately I'm drawn to a cooler color palette.  For my master bedroom (if/when I ever get to it), I would love to do it shades of gray and lavender - with an unexpected smattering of chartreuse.

Okay, this is a little more formal than what I have in mind, but the color palette is on target. Do you love those purple lampshades too?

This image is missing the chartreuse, but I do love the lavender sofa and gold accents against the gray walls.

On a side note, what do you think about that Saarinen table with the Chippendale chairs?

What color combinations are calling you these days?

You know I've been loving lavender lately! I keep trying to inject it into my dining room but maybe I should go for my bedroom instead! Love your inspiration pics!

I am so feeling the love of purple right now! And with the pops of green is a must! We're on the same wave length my dear:) Too bad my room is brown. I'm just gonna work it in there anyway;)

Deep dark grey with pops of rusty red are drawing my eye right now. I'm not crazy about the combo of chairs/Saarinen...but to each their own!!

That's a really interesting combination that I haven't seen much of. It would be perfect for a teenage girl with it's combination of feminine lavender and fun chartreuse.

Lovely color combo! I think it would be very soothing in a master bedroom. Side note: LOVE the tulip table with the Chippendale chairs!!

The gray with lavender and chartreuse would be beautiful. Very serene for a bedroom. I am not a fan of the tulip table with the Chippendale chairs. It is unexpected, which I like, but the two really are world's apart.

These make me think of lilacs, with the touches of chartreuse. Two of my absolute favorite images are of lavender flowers in front a black door and another arrangement in front of a black Grand piano.

I love this combo! Especially for a master bedroom. But what image I love the most is the painted ceiling! It's amazing what an effect that has on the whole room.
Great post!
