Alex Papachristidis

When I think of rooms designed by New York decorator Alex Papachristidis, the adjectives that come to mind are: Classic, Colorful, Fresh and Fearless! Of these adjectives, I admire (in a borderline stalker kinda way) him most for his use of color!  Fresh, happy colors that put you at ease and bring a smile to your face.  Sure, I have seen some neutral rooms that are fabulous, but for this gal, color is king!

Alex Papchristidis at his best.  Colorful, bold and little edgy!

Classic elements are used in a modern way.

Here the use of color is restrained, but the drama is not!

More vibrant color mixed with classic elements

Those bold lampshades provide an unexpected shot of color

Layer upon layer of fabulousness is also one of Papachristidis' trademarks

This makes me almost not afraid of purple.  (The coffee table seals the deal, yes?)

Classic .. and funky!

More layers of classics reinterpreted in a modern way

My absolute favorite! In the words of Rachel Zoe ... "I die"

Oooh, this is exactly my kind of style! It kind of reminds me of Ryan Korban, my fave! Gorgeous, eclectic rooms! Oh, thanks for the email, sending good wishes your way!

I love the last one, but that's my standard. Black, beige, white, gold. Very soothing.

Love all the mirrors used, just gorgeous.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and becoming a follower. I'm following yours now as well. I had a good time scrolling through some of your older post. Loved the one about your daughter's prom. I have a 15 year old daughter and had a moment like that when she went to her first high school dance this past fall. You're daughter sounds like a wonderful girl and she's just beautiful!

Wow, Kim! That is really a feast for the eyes. It really says hooray for using wonderful furnishings just as they are. You cannot say there is anything "matchy-matchy" about any of it.
BTW, your space at the Galleries @ Southside is looking good. I love the bright blue tiered table. I can't wait to see what is next.
