Although celadon is a shade of green, it's a grayed-down version that is quite neutral.
"Blenheim Celadon" fabric by James Dunlop
It's such a pretty backdrop for pinks and lavenders.
But wait - you can use celadon as an accent color too. I love it with the warm beiges in this living room designed by Michelle Nussbaumer.
And it looks fantastic with black and gold in this Michelle Nussbaumer entry.
Celadon is also perfect for outdoor use, since it's a color so readily found in nature.
It's also a great color choice for painted furniture. Amazing with the gold details, isn't it?
So what do you think? Do you like this neutral version of green or do you prefer something more vibrant?

I love the celadon and green! It's beautiful!
Duh, not enough coffee, obvs. *celadon and GOLD.
It's absolutely perfection! I am a little prejudice since my son has "gifted" us with some treasure vases from his wife's family in Korea. You are right, it blends with so many styles and colors! That chest you showed is magnificent!
I love almost every color of green. Celadon is always so subtly beautiful. And I so agree that it's lovely with gold tones!
Softer colors are definitely appealing to me lately rather than super-bright, in your face types of colors so, yes, celadon is gorgeous as far as I'm concerned!
Oh my gosh, that console! Yes I love celadon. It is such a soft yet rich color.
Beautiful post, Kim.

Any shade of green is what I love! I'm with you, I've always used it.
This is the only green I like...it is soothing and refreshing...I'm on love with that fabric...so pretty!
Love the subtle color of celadon!
Lovely images!
Kim I adore that Dunlop fabric, oh my the sun chest and of course Chines vases!
You have opened my eyes to some interesting combinations. The gold really sets celadon off!

I absolutely love it, because it is color but so understated! It works great with other neutrals to make a neutral room more interesting.
Love the pictures you have chosen!
