Vintage Marimekko on Ebay

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

With several undone furniture makeover projects waiting in the wings (or as I call it, the mud room) , I headed over to Ebay to look for something out of the ordinary.  A vintage fabric search led me to these bold, colorful and still relevant beauties from Finland's Marimekko.

Looks like Marimekko did a remix of this pattern for their feature print of Spring 2011.

oooh--I love that blue fabric at the bottom!! Have a wonderful time in hot-lanta with the girls. Those were always such good memories with my mom! Makes me wish I had girls. Tuxedo shopping just doesn't ruffle my feathers. :-)

I am not a big ebay searcher but so many people have posted about finding great stuff on there. Maybe I need to change my mind!

Loving your finds! I think these would make amazing pillows, chair upholstery and or your clever idea of having them framed. Sparks are flying over here on this one!!! M.

I was always a huge Marimekko fan in the day - so fun to see these designs again! I still have several dresses my mother made me with their fabric. I especially like the first and the b/w wavy stripes. Hope you have a wonderful break with your girls!!

I love these patterns and the colors are so happy. I remember Marimekko's cool stuff before it was considered "vintage". Looks like they are making a big comeback too with their new store in Manhattan!
