I admire bold print sofas in other people's interiors, I just don't think it's for me. I'm sure I'd get bored with it and thus be stuck with it. But, they're so pretty! I've always admired Kristin Buckingham's sofa!
It's funny you should ask that question - how does a blue ikat sofa sound? But I confess, it's only in my latest painting. If you're interested you can see it here: http://driftwood-interiors.blogspot.com/2011/02/next-instalment.html Love your blog and love this post! K x
The first kilim inspired..yes. Love them and think they work with a variety of styles and feelings in a room. The others i would admire from afar, too bold for my taste.
I could not, would not, in my house. I think they're great, and fun. But, that's a big commitment and I'm fickle so I know I would get tired of it really fast.
Love the title of this post! and the answer is, no way could I. I love the look, but I am just to practical. I also tire of things very easily, so I would be spending a fortune every time I had the thing reupholstered! M.
I would do it - but it would take encouraging! I think it's easy to go neutral on furniture with mixed textures and make the pillows pop...but I love the idea of a totally bold piece!!
I definitely would! I am looking into having another slipcover made in a pattern. This way I can change it out as I want to. My problem is trying to narrow down the fabric choices!
I like all of those except the stripes, too much for this gal. I have a very neutral home but I do like a pop of color and print here and there so I might be more apt to do it with a chair or ottoman.
I love these sofas, but i like a solid sofa for me. The prints would be a little too busy to like at all of the time. Just my preference. Have a great day, Kim. Teresa xoxo
Heck yeah! Thats why white or solid slipcovers were invented (well, in my opinion). I like to upholster in the crazy prints and make slipcovers in the nuetrals. That way your furniture can have alter egos when the mood strikes. Danika PS-I'm really loving the striped couch for some reason.

I love that first bench. The colors are gorgeous.

Not on a sofa, on a chair definitely, sofas are neutrals only in our house.

I love the idea, but I worry that I'm too fickle with prints to make such a commitment...for now, I'll just admire from afar! Happy weekend, Kim!
I can envision exactly two scenarious that would allow me to answer yes:
1) If an upholstery shop was my business.
2) If I won the lottery.
Yikes...not sure but I love when other people do it:)
Probably not!
I would do it, but it would have to be the center of attention in the room.
I like prints like this when I see them in other peoples homes but they are a little too bold for my own taste.
I might, if everything else in the room was patternless. I love the bold black and white chevron on that settee.

PS-I'm really loving the striped couch for some reason.
If I could afford it....YES for sure!
I really like the sofa with all the different colors. It's like a rainbow sofa. Very cool.
