P.S. Would you have the courage to paint your door and trim that color?

Hmmm... when Pantone announces the 2012 color of the year, my money's going to be on a shade of purple. What do you think?

I hope that purple is here to stay too, Kim. I also love the muted purples. Actually I love muted colors, especially in art.
Have great day.

I have been loving what I am seeing, too. I have added a few touches of lavender to my living room. The degree of depth it brought pleasantly surprised me. Great pics!

Haven't seen purple look this delicious in a looooong time!
I've been adding purple elements to my house recently so I too hope this trend sticks around for a while.
I love those John Saladino images and the Amanda Nesbit ceiling! Beautiful spaces. It seems like the hot color these days!
Check out the Zhush's pop of purple Mondays. She is great!
Great rooms.
I love that purple painted ceiling, great inspiration and also a reminder not to forget the potential a ceiling holds.
I'd never been a big fan of purple, but lately that's been changing. I'm working on a purple, yellow and white abstract as we speak, so things have obviously turned the corner! K x
That purple ceiling is insane. Love the curtains and the perfect boxwoods too.
Too funny- I did a color consult today and specified a beautiful shade of purple for a powder room. I'll be posting about it when it's done. Great inspiration photos!
Love the 1st image of the porch! That ceiling color is so wonderfully unexpected!
Honestly, I never liked purple very much, but lately I've been learning to like it. Especially in decor.
It's so gorgeous, looking so great. Your color combination is awesome. Color combination plays an important role in interior design as it helps create the ambience of a home.
Thanks for leaving a comment on my blog today, Kim! I've heard whispers that Pantone's colour of the year might be a fresh orange, but they've definitely been connected to a tone of purple, too... if I could choose one, it would be purple, hands down! I've always loved purple, but orange is starting to work for me, too...
